According to Michigan environmental regulations and federal law, owners of a contaminated property must provide a safe and healthy work environment for occupants and employees. Quantifying the financial requirements in order to comply with due care and continuing obligations at a contaminated property is a defining step (for buyer and lender) in the property transfer process. APPLIED ENVIRONMENTAL has implemented many types of strategies and engineering controls for our clients in order for them to comply with Continuing Obligations of a purchaser to maintain due care and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) protections.
